from Preschool through grade 12 across multiple campuses. For 50 years, ECS has remained

committed to equipping students to embrace a Biblical worldview through spiritual and academic

growth, servant leadership, and authentic relationships in the name of Jesus Christ.

ECS has experienced steady growth in enrollment, programs, and community impact. The school is

known for its relational culture, strong spiritual formation, and consistent academic outcomes that

prepare students well for college and life. ECS’ SAT performance ranks among the highest in the state,

and its expanding course offerings reflect a clear commitment to academic excellence within a Christcentered

framework.

The next Superintendent will step into a healthy, mission-aligned school with clear momentum and

community, and capable of driving excellence, clarity, refined structure, and strategic focus. Strength

in fundraising and external engagement will be essential as the school continues to grow.

Over the next five years, success will be marked by clear progress in several key areas. These

include facility development, expanded academic, athletic, and fine arts opportunities, and greater

organizational consistency. ECS will also continue to strengthen its financial position. At the same

time, the school will continue to deepen its commitment to biblical worldview education and spiritual

formation.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a flourishing Christian school at a defining moment— shaping the

next chapter of impact for students, families, staff, and the broader Evansville community.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God

(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis

1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35),

His sinless life (Hebrews 4: 15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (1

Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His Resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), His

Ascension to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19), His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11,

Revelation 19:11).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the

exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the

shed blood of Christ, and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16–19,

5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8–9; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection

of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28–29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians

12:12–13, Galatians 3:26–28).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to

live a godly life (Romans 8:13–14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19–20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).

6 EVANSVILLE, SPHERES OF INDIANA LEARNING

Located along the Ohio River in the southwestern corner of Indiana, Evansville offers the stability and

accessibility of a mid-sized city with the warmth and pace of a close-knit community. With a metro population

of approximately 300,000, the region provides many of the amenities and professional opportunities of a

larger market—healthcare, higher education, arts, and commerce—while maintaining a manageable cost of

living and a strong sense of local identity.

Evansville’s economy is diverse, with strengths in healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, education, and energy.

Major employers include Deaconess Health System and Ascension St. Vincent Evansville, as well as a range

of regional and national companies. This economic base contributes to community stability and ongoing

development throughout Vanderburgh County and neighboring counties in Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.

The city is home to several higher education institutions, including the University of Evansville and the

University of Southern Indiana, which enrich the intellectual and cultural life of the region. Residents enjoy

access to lectures, performing arts, collegiate athletics, and community events throughout the year.

Evansville’s quality of life is often noted as one of its greatest strengths. Housing remains affordable

compared to national averages, and commute times are short. The area offers a range of neighborhoods—

from historic districts with early 20th-century homes to newer suburban developments. Outdoor recreation

is readily accessible, with extensive riverfront development, greenways, and parks such as Wesselman Woods

Nature Preserve, one of the largest urban old-growth forests in the United States. The Ohio Riverfront hosts

festivals, concerts, and community gatherings that draw residents together throughout the year.

The region’s location also provides convenient access to larger metropolitan areas. Louisville, Nashville,

Indianapolis, and St. Louis are all within a few hours’ drive, making weekend travel and professional

connections easy to maintain.

Evansville has a longstanding and visible Christian presence across denominations, including evangelical,

mainline Protestant, Catholic, and non-denominational congregations. Churches are active not only in weekly

worship but also in community outreach, social services, and partnerships with local schools and ministries.

Organizations such as Evansville Christian School reflect a broader network of Christian institutions committed

to faith-based education and service. For leaders seeking to live and serve in a community where Christian

faith is both personally meaningful and publicly engaged, Evansville offers a supportive and collaborative

environment.

Overall, the Evansville area combines economic stability, accessible amenities, strong educational institutions,

and a vibrant faith community. For a Superintendent considering long-term leadership and community

investment, it provides both professional opportunity and an appealing place to call home.
