Your step-by-step guide to starting classes

in Fall 2026.

JULY-SEPTEMBER 2025

o Apply & Set Up your Pioneer Portal

You can apply to TWU anytime, but the recommended

application window is from July 1 to December 2025.

Set up your Pioneer Portal and access your

university email account to receive news and

updates from TWU about your admissions.

Create your account! portal.twu.edu

o Submit your Transcripts & Immunization Records

This can be done after you apply; we recommend the

same timeframe as the application window.

Request your high school (first-year students) or

community college (transfer students) to send an

official transcript to Student Records at SRP@twu.edu

Submit immunization records to registrar@twu.edu

o Check your TSI Status

This should be done right after you apply. The Texas

Success Initiative exams are required and assess your

college readiness in reading, math and writing. Check

your TSI status by logging into your Pioneer Portal.

o Register for Orientation

You’ll attend Orientation during the Summer of

2026. Orientation is mandatory for first-year

students and optional (but recommended) for

transfer students.

o Register for Classes

First-year students — You will register for classes at

orientation with your academic advisor.

Transfer students — Ready to plan your classes?

Make an appointment with your academic advisor at

twu.edu/transferadvisors

o Get Ready for Class!

o Complete the FAFSA for Financial Aid

The 2026-2027 FAFSA opens in October 1, 2025,

and the priority deadline is January 15, 2026. You may

qualify for grants, which you don’t need to pay back, or

loans. Apply at studentaid.gov

o Apply for Scholarships

The scholarship portal opens July 1, 2025,

and the deadline is March 1, 2026.

o Apply for Housing

You only need to apply for housing if

you plan to live on campus. Apply by

the deadline of May 1, 2026. Learn more
